If your phone is currently financed with another carrier, you can pay off your remaining phone payment balance and get paid up to $500 per line for up to 5 lines (for a grand total of up to $2500) through a virtual Optimum Prepaid Mastercard when you finance a new, full-priced smartphone. Or, if you want to bring your own device, you can get up to $300 per line (for up to 5 lines).

This offer is available for Unlimited Max lines only, and the purchase of a new phone. This offer is not compatible with any other promotions or discounts.

 

You may qualify if you’re leaving most domestic U.S. postpaid wireless carriers. No matter which carrier you leave, you will need to meet the offer requirements, be up-to-date on your payments, and be in good standing with your previous carrier.

Accounts switching over from a prepaid carrier are not eligible for this offer, but you can shop our current deals on phones or plans to find other offers.

No! You do not need to trade-in the device financed with your former carrier. You just need to pay it off.

Yes, you will need to pay off your phone balance with your previous carrier before switching in order to participate in this offer.

You will need to share a bill statement PDF or take a screenshot of the balance remaining on your device with your previous carrier before paying off your phone. This step is necessary for eligibility and securing your payment via virtual Prepaid Mastercard.

Your submission must capture all criteria, including phone number, phone make & model, phone payment balance and financing amount, phone financing start date, and prior carrier name.

Only submissions clearly captured directly from the previous carrier’s website and/or original bill statements will be accepted. Optimum Mobile will review each submission and reserves the right to decline submissions deemed invalid.

To qualify for this offer, any phone you pay off must have been on a plan for at least 90 days. For successful processing of your Prepaid Mastercard claim, please ensure the screenshot clearly captures this timeline.

You are responsible for the portion of your payment plan balance that exceeds the amount of $500 per phone (or $300 if you’re bringing your own device instead of financing the purchase of a new one).

You can purchase any new phone on our monthly finance installment plan, however this offer is not compatible with any other phone promotions or coupon codes. If you buy a phone from Optimum Mobile and pay it in full, it will not qualify for the virtual Optimum Prepaid Mastercard.

To receive your Prepaid Mastercard, you must meet eligibility requirements and file your claim within 30 days of activating your new line(s) with Optimum Mobile. You can then monitor your Prepaid Mastercard claim status and keep an eye on your email inbox for its delivery.
